I love a non conventional wedding – so was really excited to be asked to be Caitlyn’s makeup artist for her wedding day! The bride in black with tattoos!
The best part of being a Southern Highlands Makeup Artist is that you get the opportunity to be part of unique non-conventional weddings – the classic non-wedding wedding – total antibride as the area lends itself to bridal parties being able to be themselves – not conforming to set traditions.

Caitlyn wanted a natural looking peachy makeup – no pinks, just soft glowing peachy quite matt makeup – I chose colours to compliment her absolutely gorgeous natural red hair.
I also loved Matthew’s suit – blue/black velvet to match her black lace wedding dress with blue, black and grey flowers.
I chose the best colours in my range of peaches (actually using a blusher on her lid) to bring out those to die for blue eyes!
Caitlyn didn’t cover her tattoos because she said they were part of her – so why cover them!? I agree- just be yourself on your wedding day – the day is all about celebrating you, and your love for one another – just looking rather gorgeous whilst you do so!
I loved how her tattoos worked in with her dress – making the whole look consistent.
Caitlyn also wanted loose not so done hair – so we went a textured updo for her- a slightly messy bun with lots of tendrils falling around her face.
