I love it when a bride asks me to do something a little different – and Grace was my ultimate bride – she wanted me to do her hair and makeup for a few reasons – one – because I could do a retro style, but also because she loved that I used sustainable, ethical makeup. Because of her I was able to do something special – a retro sustainable bridal makeup in Berry!
She wore a vintage dress for it’s retro vibe, but also because she wanted to repurpose, she wasn’t a fan of wearing something that she would only wear once. One of the reasons she chose me besides liking my makeup style was that all of my makeup was vegan – and that it was also clean.
She chose the most amazing Beehive style for her hair, and a fabulous red lip with a beautiful winged eyeliner.
Not everyone can wear both – but she could – and looked amazing!

The wedding was held in a family member’s backyard- in a wonderful Glam tent. Everyone was told to wear boots – including Grace and Tom! Lucky this was the dress code – because for days before the wedding it poured down – it would not stop raining – and on the day I turned up – I had to wear gumboots to wade my way through the mud to the house – my heart wept for them – but it didn’t put them off! And thanks to their love and positive attitude- the sun came out enough to dry where they were getting married and things went swimmingly! (no pun intended!).

Honestly – this pair was so romantic – so in love with one another.

And they adored the family pooches – who were of course invited to the wedding! No country wedding is just right without the family’s four legged children!

I loved Grace’s 60s vintage dress, and that she let her best friend choose a look of her own – they both looked stunning!
